Altrincham Business Scoops Three Major Awards

Bright & Beautiful

Altrincham based domestic housekeeping franchise business Bright & Beautiful has won three prestigious business awards aimed at supporting and celebrating women.

The company was named winner of the Best Business and Best Franchisor categories in the prestigious Best Business Women Awards as well as being named winner of the SME Growth category in the Forward Ladies North West Women in Business Awards. The Best Business Women Awards are designed to recognise the achievement of women across a wide range of business categories in the UK. Forward Ladies, founded in 1999, supports women in their professional lives and celebrates and champions the role of women in the workplace.

Bright & Beautiful’s success is testament to both the ethos and the consistent growth of the business which was launched by Rachel Ray in 2007 to provide eco-friendly cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing; with the highest standards of security and service. Since then the company has grown rapidly and now has 55 franchises nationwide, employs over 500 people and has a £5m turnover. In line with its ethical principles, Bright & Beautiful has also recently bought a plot of land in Rwanda to build a school for children who have previously had no access to education.

Rachel says: “Bright & Beautiful has always been all about supporting family friendly working which is why we are so proud that our way of working has been recognised by our winning these awards. The awards were rightfully collected by two of our dedicated team of Franchise Development Consultants Jenny Mccabe and Danielle Pearson. They, along with their colleagues in the support team, work tirelessly to coach our network of franchisees as they grow their businesses around the UK.”

The Best Business Women Awards judges said: “Rachel Ray has had outstanding business growth borne through a clear strategic plan and rationale for the decision to franchise. She now has 55 franchisees and she has their development at the centre of her business and is a truly outstanding example of an excellent franchisor. Rachel demonstrated her clear business model and impact in both commercial and social purpose. She has great values including using nontoxic products and ethical practices in her business.”

Griselda Togobo, Managing Director of Forward Ladies said: “This has been a fantastic year for women; we continue to start, grow and run high profile successful companies. We have been surprised and delighted by the number and calibre and diversity of the applications we have received for the Women in Business Awards 2016, and look forward to celebrating their success.
“The award categories are a reflection not only of the types of businesses with which women are involved but also industries which need to attract and encourage young women to join for future growth and prosperity.”

The award winning Bright & Beautiful business model is based around a franchise system that trains women across the UK to manage a team of specialist professional housekeepers. All of the franchises are owned and run by women and men who wanted to step off the corporate ladder to work more flexibly and run their own successful business from home.
