International infrastructure group Balfour Beatty is launching its first Returners Programme for female and male professionals who have been on a voluntary career break of two or more years.
The paid programme will run for 21 weeks from 24 April 2017, with a view to successful candidates joining the business in permanent roles. Opportunities are UK wide and Balfour Beatty has project sites in locations including London, Cumbria, Kent, Midlands, Manchester, Gloucester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The programme will be run in conjunction with return to work coaching experts Women Returners. Returners will be working as part of a team on one of the firm’s flagship projects if they are site-based in a technical role, or within one of their Head Offices if the role is more functional. Throughout the programme returners will have the support of a Balfour Beatty mentor/buddy as well as on-going coaching support from Women Returners.
Returners must be available for the duration of the programme and able to work a minimum of 30 hours a week. While the role will be based in a fixed location, they should be flexible on planned travel for coaching and workshops.
Balfour Beatty are looking for people with a proven track record in Engineering, Operational, Commercial or Enabling Functions such as HR, IT, Finance, Health & Safety and Legal, who have taken a voluntary career break for two or more years.
