My current employer expects me to carry out a ‘full time’ workload but on reduced hours as all other managers have to cover seven days a week. I feel they are not only manipulating me but also would love for me to break and leave after 25 years service. I am losing sleep and the doctors have put me on anti-depressants to try and cope. The business don’t really know how much pressure they are putting me under or how it is affecting me personally.
I would suggest that you speak to your manager or manager’s manager and HR if there is one. And you should also speak to your doctors to see if they can recommend part-time working.
You could also put in a new flexible working application, formally requesting a reduction in hours or more flexible working.
