Early Years Nutrition Partnership (EYNP) to launch in 2016, offering flexible and exciting opportunities for Registered Nutrition Professionals
The Pre-School Learning Alliance, British Nutrition Foundation and Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition have come together because of our shared passion for healthy nutrition in the early years, to form the Early Years Nutrition Partnership (EYNP).
The EYNP is an independent social enterprise aiming to help improve the future health outcomes of young children by setting a standard for nutrition practice in early years settings, such as nurseries. We are due to launch the EYNP in April 2016.
With registered nutrition professionals at the core, the EYNP is an exciting and innovative new venture, aiming to support early years settings and families to create the best nutritional experience for young children in their care, through an evidence-based programme, delivering practical, hands-on support.
This programme will include a number of elements, such as assessment against a quality standard and providing support to early years staff to improve nutritional standards within settings, educating early years practitioners in an early years nutrition and hydration qualification, group classes and one to one consultancy. The programme will be guided by a steering group of renowned experts in the fields of nutrition, behaviour and education.
The EYNP has created a support and development package for nutrition professionals, enthusiastic about nutrition in the early years and looking for the flexibility that a part-time, self-employed opportunity offers. The EYNP’s support and development package includes financial support, business mentoring and specialist early years nutrition development, as well as creating opportunities to be creative, innovative and really make a difference to the lives of young children and those looking after them.
Danone Nutricia and Danone’s Ecosystem Fund have agreed to fund this start-up, covering all set up costs of the business, including significant financial support for the nutrition professionals joining us to support the first phase of the launch.
To ensure the EYNP’s success, we need to recruit eight talented nutrition professionals in our first year. If you have a passion for early years nutrition and ambitions to either set up or develop your own business, we would love to hear from you.
To find out more about the roles available please follow the links below. Our partner business, Danone Nutricia, will be managing applications initially until the EYNP website is fully created. If you have specific questions, please contact Ann Evans at [email protected]
