Lizzie Mckendry previously worked as a supply teacher in secondary schools and decided that she wanted a change of career that would provide greater job satisfaction.

Lizzie started running her Bloom Manchester West franchise in January 2019 working 4 days per week, demand quickly grew and she is now selling out 16 classes per week working a 4 morning week.  Lizzie turns over more than £6,000 per half term.

“Before buying my Bloom Franchise I was a secondary school science teacher.  I was attracted to Bloom because the classes seemed so friendly and welcoming and I wanted to be able to have a fun job that would allow me to pick up my eldest from school every day. It was also apparent that if I was prepared to work hard, I could still command a good salary but strike a better balance between work and family life.  As my franchise has been really successful, I’m now doing 16 classes per week and working to full capacity.  Therefore I might think about hiring a class leader to run classes.  Either way, though I’m really happy with how everything is working out.
