Baby College provides you with the opportunity to support parents and keep babies and toddlers entertained and stimulated with their premium and high quality Child Development Franchise.
Baby College is not simply another baby and toddler weekly class. All Baby College topic insights are evidence based and well-researched and constantly being updated and refreshed with the help of experts.
Recent collaborations include; the Baby Lab at Oxford Brookes University (Language Development), Professor Helen Ball at the Baby Sleep Information Source at Durham University (Sleep Development), psychologists Professor Lauren Stewart and Dr. Caspar Addyman at Goldsmiths.
Baby College offers weekly parent and baby development classes to parents and their babies or young children. There are three different progressive age ranges starting at birth and continuing into the child’s third year. Baby College classes include a range of activities that enhance every aspect of a child’s development. These include games which help stimulate cognitive, language, physical, sensory and emotional development and puts the parent and baby relationship very much at the centre of the classes.
Baby College classes are unique in that they are as much for the parent as they are for the babies. Parents renew for several terms on average and return with second or third children. The franchise package includes 44 weekly lesson plans for each of the three age groups (making 132 in total), a fully comprehensive training programme, a full kit to run your classes with and continuous support from head office and other Baby College franchisees. No specific qualifications or experience are required as full training is provided but a passion for baby and child development is needed and it suits people who are sociable, outgoing and enjoy spending time with parents and children.
A desire to make the business a success and some personal drive is an advantage plus some organisational ability. Singing nursery rhymes is part of the job…
As a franchisee you will run your own Baby College business within a large exclusive territory. After initial comprehensive training, franchisees are responsible for finding and booking venues, teaching classes (from 2 venues a week up to 10 venues a week either as a sole trader or with the help of one or two teachers) and marketing their Baby College Business.
Business admin is made simple as Baby College has an automated online booking and class management system that has been designed especially for their franchisees.
All Baby College classes include lots of singing, dancing and music with Makaton signing, physical play and sensory games.
The Baby College business model is designed around school terms (and there are optional summer holiday classes which can be run too). Franchisees can run classes between 30 to 48 weeks of the year depending on their needs.
Classes can be run in the mornings or the afternoons or a mixture and now online too and it fits perfectly with school hours.
You will probably be looking for an opportunity which fits in with your family’s needs, which also offers you growth, stimulation, fun, independence and rewards (both financial rewards and job satisfaction).

There are regular workshops and ongoing support from the directors and from the other members of the Baby College family.
Franchisees will need to have a passion for baby and child development.
The business suits people who are fit and healthy, sociable, outgoing and enjoy spending time with parents and children.
You will also need to have empathy with people and enjoy multi-tasking and the prospect of a challenge!
Baby College enables me to do the school runs and take my children to all their after-school activities – I have a lot of flexibility and autonomy with my time.
I teach classes term-time only which means that I do not need to organise any child care during the school holidays or before and after school.
This is fantastic as it means I can spend the school holidays with my children and do not need to organise any before or after school child care.
The wonderful thing about this job is the time it affords me with my family, as well as being an extremely interesting and rewarding job working with parents and children and empowering parents to have confidence in their parenting and more understanding of their children’s development.
Training was given before I launched classes and ongoing support is available from the parent company, who are very supportive and helpful.
We also have an excellent support network of closed Facebook groups and other communications between all teachers and franchisees and technical staff/third party providers that ensures any issues/problems can be resolved as quickly as possible. The support is excellent in my view.
This means that although you work independently, as we now have a growing network of Baby College Franchisees across the UK, you a never ‘alone’ and always have support of the parent company and other franchisees if you need it.
