Bright & Beautiful Training

Local teacher ditches books for dusters by launching new eco-friendly cleaning business

Banbury, UK (2 August 2019) – Yorkshire born and bred teacher Emma Bini has returned home to swap her career in education for a new national domestic housekeeping franchise business, Bright & Beautiful®, covering York, Wetherby, Boston Spa, Tadcaster and the surrounding areas.

Prior to becoming a new franchise owner, Emma dedicated her time to teaching modern foreign languages (MFL) in secondary schools where she specialised in French and Spanish. Following her time studying in Spain, Emma spent a year teaching in Venezuela before returning to her home county Yorkshire.

After 13 years of working in education and juggling a young family, Emma decided that she wanted a change of career that would allow her to take control of her destiny. She chose to buy a franchise as she had always wanted to be her own boss, and felt that the managerial and organisational skills she had gained from leading seven other MFL teachers would be transferable and invaluable to the day to day running of her own business.
Launching on 1st August, Emma will be accompanied by her trusted team of three local professional housekeepers, all of whom have been carefully selected, referenced and DBS checked, and they will work in teams to ensure reliability and client peace of mind. The teams will deliver a bespoke and tailored service that offers cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing to the highest standards of security and service and will only use eco-friendly products and equipment to ensure they protect the health of their clients, their children and the team.

Emma said: “When I first decided to make a career change, I initially considered starting up a business on my own, but quickly realised that my lack of business experience would hinder my potential. Franchising seemed to provide the perfect balance of having the freedom to grow my own business, while receiving the support and expertise that I was missing.

“Having had some unsatisfactory cleaning experiences myself, I could certainly see the demand for a reliable client-facing company. When I heard about Bright & Beautiful’s level of professionalism and their eco-friendly and ethical ethos, I just knew it would be a perfect fit. I’m so excited to get this business going and to begin delivering a world class service to my local community.”

Based in York, Bright & Beautiful covers Wetherby, Boston Spa, Collingham, Linton, Tadcaster, Bishopthorpe, Copmanthorpe, Green Hammerton, Poppleton, Wheldrake and Escrick. Emma joins the growing national network of over 65 franchisees each building their own local business, creating over 700 jobs and delivering more than 10,000 home cleans per month.

More information about Neighborly/Neighbourly, and its franchise concepts, is available at https://www.neighborlybrands.com/.

Emma Bini - Bright & Beautiful

Morag Readman:

Mum of 3 Morag, based in Edinburgh, was previously a sales director at a sales and marketing company and decided in 2014 to do something on her own.

“Bright & Beautiful really appealed to me because they’ve got excellent branding, strong ethics and a proven business model. The first time I saw the Bright & Beautiful website, I got really excited! They just seemed to have thought about all the things that mattered to me.”

I went to a Discovery Day and was really impressed by Bright & Beautiful. They are intelligent, passionate about the business, straight-talking with a solid business background. But it’s not a one-woman show: there’s a strong team. They have invested in people at HQ who can really support the franchisees plus they’ve selected top-quality external service providers. People I couldn’t afford on my own! I knew this was the opportunity I’d been looking for.”

“The support I get from Bright & Beautiful is fantastic, I attended a comprehensive residential training course where I got all the inside story on how to run my business.”

“Becoming a franchisee has certainly changed my life, I feel I have a lot more control over my own future in this business. I’m really proud of being an ethical employer, contributing to the local economy and setting high standards.”

Deborah Hart:

Deborah spent 17 years as a paramedic team leader for the North East Ambulance Service. She loved the role but it wasn’t a family friendly job, so looked for something that offered flexible working to fit around looking after preschool twin.  She wanted to work from home and be there for her children without having to comply to set working hours. Her friend suggested the franchise route, so she started looking into this.  Cleaning seemed the obvious choice: as a clean freak, she understood the need for this service and the popularity of it.  Bright & Beautiful stood out a mile, she loved the ethical and eco aspects of the company.

Deborah says “the support I get from HQ and the initial training gave me a great head start. I am sure that without the support I would not have been successful.  It’s easy to see why so many new businesses fail: without the help and support of a wider network there is so much I would not have known. Bright and Beautiful are difference because of the quality, reliability, thorough service, customer service and response to customer issues

When asked ‘has becoming a franchisee changed your life?’ Deborah says “yes, it’s completely different to working for an employer, there is much more flexibility and freedom and I get to see and spend quality time with my twin sons

Deborah is driving her Bright & Beautiful franchise forward and making it a really big success!

Faye McDonough:

Faye was Bright & Beautiful’s first franchisee and has just been honoured as a finalist in the prestigious BFA awards for Female Franchisee of The Year 2015.

Faye chose Bright & Beautiful because it gave her financial stability and the time she wanted and needed to be with her children as a single mum.

Launched in 2010, Faye now has a team of 20 Professional Housekeepers providing eco-friendly cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing services to over 250 homes each week in Altrincham.

Faye says “When I first started working for Bright & Beautiful I was just like millions of other working mums in need of a job that would work around my family but allow me to be independent. When I bought my first franchise I soon realised that running my own business gave me not just a job, but a career, a really successful business. This has given me a huge amount of confidence and an amazing opportunity to help other women manage their home life too.

Faye loves being her own boss and appreciates it comes with its pressures but finds it very satisfying. “I can’t think of anywhere else that I could earn such a high income whilst also working around my children and enjoying control over my diary.”

Bright & BeautifulVicky Brind  – Fareham franchisee

“Having been a police officer for 16 years I felt it was time I took control of my own future and income.

I wanted to own my own business which could work around school age children. Bright & Beautiful offers amazing opportunities to work for yourself, learn about recruitment, marketing, payroll and sales

Bright & Beautiful offer a supportive role, a manual which covers almost everything you could think of, and a franchise consultant on the end of the phone for any additional support you need”

Sarah Reeves, Bucks

I love the fact that I can be my own boss, nurture my team and build a really successful business so that me and my family can reap the rewards.
