Join a close family of 40 franchisees who actively support each other, celebrating the highs and cushioning the lows. At our two-day annual conference, ideas are shared and innovations rolled out, with everyone having a voice.
People love being a part of the network so much that we’re proud to have received a 5-star rating every year from the industry’s franchisee satisfaction survey – which is independently researched.
As one of the market leaders, diddi dance receives celebrity endorsements, licenses with the latest kids’ trends and national TV exposure.
Some recent examples where all franchisees have benefited include: a license we had with PJ Masks, our appearance on Strictly in 2015 and Sam & Billie’s ‘The Mummy Diaries’ in 2019.
diddi dance founder Anne-Marie has been bringing together preschool children for fun and funky dance sessions since 2003, with the franchise running since 2010. There is a real focus on excellence throughout the network, which has led to numerous award wins for service delivery and franchising best practice – including EWIF Inspirational Woman in Franchising 2019.
Anne-Marie has been a strong force in bringing standards to the sector with diddi dance being founding members of the Children’s Activity Association (CAA). The CAA Gold membership standard involves endorsement from a child psychologist following observed sessions. Franchisees also benefit from cheaper insurance with this membership.

I knew one day I wanted to run my own business. I am married with two gorgeous boys. My eldest has a rare genetic disorder, STXBP1. He has a significant learning disability coupled with autism and attends a special needs school.
I love what I do and don’t stop too often! Because of my situation I needed a job that could work around family life but also provide the freedom to make something for myself. After looking at franchise options available and thinking about what I would like to do, I came across diddi dance. This business looked fantastic and I wasn’t wrong. It doesn’t feel like work!
I really didn’t realise just how much fun it would be from the dancing to the serious business side. I love people and I get to work with all ages from the little toddlers in class right up to grandparents who come along to watch their grandchildren. It is hard work, but it fits with my life. I can keep the business going while looking after my family at home and it is up to me if I want to work every evening to achieve my goals.
Winning a diddi dance award for Franchisee of the Year 2018 is a highlight so far. I was surprised and proud for myself and what it meant to my family and the children who I work with. This year I was also awarded Woman Franchisee of the Year 2019 at the prestigious EWIF awards, which was a true honour.
What’s on 4 said “Anne-Marie’s devotion and passion for the industry is awe-inspiring and relentless. We can’t think of a better name to add to the Lifetime Achievement hall of fame for children’s activities.”
As with the other What’s On 4 awards, The Lifetime Achievement award isn’t voted for by customers which means that Anne-Marie’s achievements over nearly 17 years have been recognised by industry leaders as truly exceptional and worthy of bestowing this most prestigious award.
I am absolutely honoured and delighted to have been recognised for my work with diddi dance, in receiving The Lifetime Achievement award from What’s On 4 and to join such prestigious previous winners of this award is indeed a privilege.
