A few words from Sam
I taught as a Computing teacher in a secondary school for 12 years before I decided to buy a franchise. Although I loved my job is wasn’t very family friendly and I wanted to find a job I could give my all but also allowed me to spend as much time with my own children as possible. To be able to do all the mum jobs such as the school runs, take them to clubs but most importantly be their when they need me instead of being at work and someone else having to do those things for my children.
When I attended classes as a parent I use to watch my class leader (Mel) and think I wish I could do something like this. To enjoy your work and have so much fun is everyone’s dream. I love working with children and although this is complete different to working in secondary schools I wanted to continue to feel I was helping to develop children’s confidence and self-esteem. When I met with Mel to discuss the possibility of me buying a franchise and running my own classes she was really informative and clear about expectations and possibilities.
Once buying my Franchise head office instantly developed a Facebook business page which has been invaluable to the growth of my business. Training was offered to develop my knowledge of the Little Movers brand and what would be expected of me to continue to uphold the brand and develop this in a new area. Training on how to deliver classes was given and these were in a comfortable environment which was in a very supportive manner.
During my time as a franchise owner I have continued to be supported by head office. Lesson plans are provided to help to structure sessions and incorporate new themes into classes. New ideas are always being passed on to help me keep sessions fresh and fun for all of my families.
The Little movers advertising material that has been developed for me and my business is absolutely amazing and if I need anything all I need to do is ask.
Emails and texts are always answered promptly and I’m never made to feel I cannot ask for support when I require it.
What are your Future Plans
I will continue to grow my business and look forward to delivering Early Years PE in local schools. I simply love my job and would recommend anyone looking for a job where they can do the schools runs, attend the nativity plays and sports days and have a great day at work get in touch with head office.
