About Us

Devised by highly experienced speech and language therapists, Talking Tots is a programme of fun, interactive classes that gently boost pre-school children’s communication and social skills. Talking Tots is based on the simple idea that children who can communicate clearly and confidently have a huge head start when it comes to learning, making friends and expressing themselves.

As well as classes, we also offer flexible, fun and affordable sessions for nurseries, pre-schools, Children’s Centres and other childcare settings. This is becoming a rapidly growing income stream for our franchisees and many are employing class leaders to help them meet demand for sessions.

We bring all the fun of Talking Tots classes to a TalkingTots1birthday, corporate event or celebration, with our personalised Talking Tots party package for young children, another opportunity for franchisees to develop their business and increase their income.

If you’re looking for that work-life balance, want to be your own boss and have fun every day, working with and inspiring children, then this could be the first step of a wonderful new adventure!

What did you do before taking up a Talking Tots franchise?

Global Business Manager for a Private Bank in London.

What in particular attracted you to Talking Tots?

With two children aged 3 and 5 years I have a strong interest in child development, particularly language and social skills. With activities structured by qualified speech therapists, I love the fact that there is a theory behind the programme which gives the classes credibility and added value for those attending. The learning potential is amazing!

What is the best thing about running your Talking Tots business?

The contrast of the challenge of marketing the classes and managing the business versus running the classes and meeting so many lovely little ones and their mums, dads and carers – no day is ever the same! The great thing is that the majority of the work is flexible so I can fit it around spending time with my children…. which was the prime reason for taking this step in the first place!

What might a typical working day involve?

Three days a week I run classes in the mornings within school hours – a different location each day. These are the only hours that are set in stone and I am able to work quite flexibly around this. On other days, I may do admin, marketing, meet with my team of teachers or may even have some me time!
