A new resource for parents looking to solve holiday childcare issues has been launched.
A new feature on a childcare app has been launched to help parents with holiday childcare.
We Are Fetching has announced the launch of its new ‘playdates’ feature to solve the challenges of summer holiday childcare for parents. The free app, which was developed to help manage after-school childcare, has added the new feature in response to the reduced availability of school holiday childcare facilities due to COVID-19.
Parents can use the Fetching app to request playdates from their network of trusted friends. If a parent hosts a playdate, they earn credits. If their child attends a playdate with another parent, credits are deducted to ensure that no-one is taking more childcare than they are providing.
Founder & CEO, Rachel Beech says the Fetching app enables parents to share playdates, in a fair way, with a group of
people they know and trust – “reducing costs, limiting exposure, and allowing parents time to work“.
She says that, by looking after any child from their trusted network on the app, at a time that suits them, parents will have paid back their childcare.
