To help lead our journey out into the wider world, we’re on the hunt for a part time Marketing & PR Manager. We are looking for a highly talented person with 5+ years’ experience in this area, to help design and drive our message out to new customers and markets. Our ideal candidate will be extremely capable and high achieving. They will have a great CV but not necessarily looking to sit in an office for 45 hours a week. An eagerness for real responsibility and autonomy is essential alongside flexibility and adaptability. We are a rapidly evolving young company with firm aspirations to launch a plethora of cutting edge products into the market, all of which will need marketing and selling!

Social impact is a central pillar here at GetRentr. The genesis of our platform is in applying phenomenal data and technological capabilities to expose rogue landlords and ensure that no tenant has to live in unsafe or unsuitable accommodation again. Meaningful work will always be entangled with everything we do and finding people that share our principles is a crucial part of this pursuit.

Marketing & PR Manager

You will primarily work alongside our CEO and Product & Operations Manager, but as we are a very close knit team, you will also interact with the dev and data side of the business to develop and drive a full holistic marketing strategy.

At GetRentr, we principally hire on the basis of personality and intelligence above technical skills and experience. For this position, we are looking for initiative and energy in someone who will build our brand and message to reach our second most important resource: clients (our people are number one!).

You will have major input into how we grow our marketing strategy and then go about executing it. You will help write content for various marketing channels and search out new ones as well as PR opportunities that aren’t content driven. Devotion to articulating the brand, products and mission are hugely important as we swiftly scale up.

This role will be a fundamental piece of our growth strategy but 24/7 involvement is not required. Both our company and our products are built to be agile and flexible so we are extremely open to non-standard working arrangements. Whether that be certain hours every day, certain days a week, working from home etcetera or being on an even more flexible schedule, we will listen. We 100% appreciate that the world of work is changing and there are a plethora of talented people who do not want to sit at the same desk 9am-6pm for 5 days a week. A typical day could involve any of the below:

  • Writing/designing content/articles for publication in industry press
  • Manage and build strategic relationships with industry marketing partners
  • Researching and seeking out new marketing avenues, especially as we build new products aimed at new markets
  • Drive our reputation as the single best source of data and thought leadership in the private residential sector
  • Ensuring our messaging and tone of voice are consistent across all of our channels
  • Developing strategies and tactics to get the word out about our company and drive qualified traffic to our front door
  • Deploying successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution alongside our CEO and Operations Manager
  • Manage social media content and build our presence in this area
  • Optimisation of web content to increase traffic and improve SEO
  • Some general admin and reporting
  • Arrange testimonial/feedback quotes/videos with valued clients

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5+ years’ experience in marketing/comms/PR, ideally B2B. Any industry will be considered, although a background in property and/or SaaS businesses may be advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software a bonus but not essential (e.g. Hubspot / Salesforce etc)
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to build rapport with lots of different kinds of people
  • Strong proficiency in planning and time management
  • A natural entrepreneurial character striving to drive their own personal development
  • Professional polish and the confidence to meet senior industry figures face to face if need be
