What is the purpose of this role?

The Data Analyst is responsible for providing assistance and relevant data to contract and divisional management teams to monitor and improve performance.

What will this role involve?

Data Management

  • Identifying local data owners for each item of performance data
  • Ensuring the timely submission of complete and accurate data in the prescribed format
  • Validating data and populate performance reporting systems at the prescribed frequency
  • Supporting ad hoc requests for local performance data
  • Producing daily / weekly / monthly / periodic reports showing performance against targets
  • Helping to design and implement appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each business unit / contract / function
  • Highlight any financial issues/risks to the relevant Project Manager
  • Create accurate applications for payment, billing and invoices
  • Project Creation, Planning and updating revenue/cost plans in SAP.
  • Ensure effective supplier management by raising purchase orders, resolving parked invoices and raising sub-contract requisitions

Data Analysis

  • Analysing KPI data to identify issues, trends and improvement opportunities
  • Assisting the project team in translating performance improvement opportunities into a coherent, prioritised business improvement strategy
  • Ensuring quality controls are in place to regularly monitor project costs
  • Demonstrable analytical skills

KPI Reporting

  • Assisting in the creation of clear definitions for each KPI
  • Ensuring the timely submission of complete and accurate data from business divisions and central functions
  • Supporting the project team in the design and testing of the data capture process
  • Responsible for providing assistance to the Project team in all commercial aspects of delivery
  • Aim to reduce WIP through resolving certification issues and change control

What are we looking for?

  • Degree qualification (or equivalent) to satisfy the current entry requirements for a relevant professional qualification
  • Computer literate and conversant with the MS Office suite
  • Basic project experience
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment with a dedicated approach to meet project deadlines
  • Good written and oral communication and organisational skills
  • Desire to develop existing skills and acquire new technical competencies to enhance personal and team capability
  • Proven enthusiasm to embrace and participate in career development initiatives
  • Self-motivated with the drive to achieve continuous improvement targets

 What makes this role unique?

You will assist Project Managers with updating project performance packs, cost to completes and play an active role in Business Development. 

You will liaise with local data owners to ensure that local and corporate systems support data capture and reporting requirements.
