Location: Home based, requiring travel all over England.

Salary:  £43,416.17 per annum full time equivalent

Closing Date: 12 noon on 23rd November 2018

About the role:

Skills for Care are looking for a qualified/registered social worker with experience of delivering or supporting employment based professional development/education. An opportunity is available to provide additional social work expertise within the Skills for Care Regulated Professional Workforce (RPW) team in order to cover a period of maternity leave and contribute to the current expansion of the range of projects and programmes delivered across the social care and health workforce. 

The RPW team take a collaborative approach to their work, co-producing work within the team and with other Skills for Care colleagues, employers and external stakeholders. Project managers in the team are responsible for leading on allocated projects and contributing specific input to others, and contributing to the management, delivery and facilitation of professional development programmes.

Our work involves projects and programmes addressing the needs of social workers, nurses and occupational therapists focussed, among other things, on delivery and quality assurance of the ASYE, improving CPD and professional development and implementing strategies aimed at improving the recruitment and retention of the workforce. Project managers maintain and develop internal and external stakeholder relationships.

About you:

Ideally, you will be a registered social worker able to add to the skill mix we now need within this team. You will be educated to level 6, have a demonstrable background in professional practice or education, and will possess relevant experience in project management.

You will have experience in presenting and communicating to large and small groups,  assessing and supervising professional development or practice and  ideally be skilled (with relevant qualifications or willing to undertake them) in action learning, mentoring, coaching or other group/individual facilitation techniques. In addition you will be able to manage your own time and work planning, whilst working effectively with supporting office and administration functions.
