Your role

As an Assessor/Skills Coach, you will be managing a caseload of apprentices on our apprenticeship programme. You will be supporting learners through to successful completion of their programme by providing guidance and support to them and their employers.

You will maintain regular contact with your learners, and their employers to demonstrate formal progress and planning of progression for the learner. You will be very hands-on in ensuring the learner completes scheduled assessments, tasks and presentations.  Your planning and organising skills will be second to none, ensuring all reviews are documented, evidenced and uploaded in a timely manner. 

Your team

You will be required to work closely with a  Delivery Manager and Head of Delivery, ensuring you respond quickly and take action involving other internal stakeholders where appropriate.  This could include Account Managers or central support teams. The position will require travel across multiple sites (depending on where your learners are based) so having your own transport is a must!

How does it work?

By working flexibly, you are in control how much you work (within reason) to fit around your personal life. You choose how big a caseload you can manage and the locations that work for you (in-line with the business requirements). You are also in control of your earning capacity based on the positive outcomes you generate!

As part of joining, you will undergo our paid 10-day training programme to help get you up to speed.

Your background

Ideally, you will need to hold a degree or equivalent higher education qualification, accompanied with significant industry experience in the areas of leadership and management.

It is a given with the nature of the role that excellent communication is key, with a desire to work in a coaching/mentoring environment.  We have operational and regulatory requirements that mean planning and organising your time is vital, so you’ll be used to updating your learners progress accurately and speedily online.
