In addition we have a number of annualised hours contracts available, let us know what works for you!

An Intervenor provides one-to-one support to a child or adult who has been born with sight and hearing impairments – known as congenital deafblindness. The day-to-day role of an Intervenor varies dependant on the needs of the individual, the nature of the sensory impairment and the ways they wish to communicate. You will be there to enable the individual to experience and join in the world around them as much as possible. This will be done by promoting the person’s social and personal development, encouraging their independent skills and facilitating their communication.

This support may be provided in someone’s home, their local community or work setting and personal care may be required.

About you

You will have had experience of working with and providing practical support to, people with learning disabilities and / or multisensory impairments. We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates with Health & Social Care qualifications and a willingness to work towards a British Sign Language qualification.

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.
