This is a fantastic opportunity for you to be instrumental in delivering solutions and innovation to our trading business.

As a Unix Engineer, you will be accountable for the technical delivery of cloud transformation projects (involving system design, build, deployment and migration) as well as participating in operational support and implementing automation.

You will bring to the team, your ability to build, support and improve enterprise class installations, which will be complemented by your previous experience with UNIX operations and engineering capacity, preferably within a global financial services organisation.

Your experience with Cloud and Cloud Service Broker deployments, as well as previous experience in the roll out of a large operational/engineering/migration project will help us improve our internal service.

The following skills will be essential to your success:

  • a good understanding of UNIX environments operating on both virtual and physical platforms
  • Cloud and Cloud Service Broker deployments.

If you also possess the following technical skills, that would be a bonus:

  • Redhat, Solaris and/or Symantec certification
  • DevOps working methodologies and AGILE delivery
  • automation and orchestration and scripting tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, CFEngine, vCAC)
  • design and build of Highly Available Architectures
  • TCP networking and associated protocols.
