Job Purpose and Scope:

  • To be part of a high performing project team and lead in the construction management of the Toilet fitout as well as Central Core.
  • To manage the on-site construction works from sub -structure to fitout and completion, coordinating sub-
  • Have an understanding of compliance requirements e.g. Building Control.
  • Apply programme and budget controls ensuring that Global Minimum Requirements are observed, company procedures are followed, and our client's objectives are delivered.
  • Implement the safety programme to eliminate accidents, promote maximum efficiency through safe work methods and conditions, and the reduction of direct and indirect costs of accidents.
  • Make frequent and unscheduled inspections of the work in progress and correct hazards or unsafe practices for immediate action or remedy.
  • Managing the Construction and the interface with contractors
  • Set standards required and monitor the quality of workmanship
  • Review the project designs for buildability
  • Conduct regular safety meetings with the contractor's supervisors and representatives of the various trades employed on the construction programme.
  • Inspect the work to ensure work conforms to plans, specifications and construction drawings.
  • Manage and monitor Construction Health and Safety Inc. safety starts, RAMS reviews, IIF etc.
  • Present the IIF and FLL courses on site to ensure maximum compliance
  • Ensure that the recommendations of the Safety Manager are complied with by all of the contractors' employees.


Key Tasks and Activities:

  • Prime responsibility for the safety of all site operations within your area of responsibility.
  • Review and adjudicate all method statements and risk assessments
  • Update and monitor on a daily basis the QA hold point tracker using Iplan or similar
  • Attend a weekly progress meeting to discuss the progress against the delivery programme.
  • Produce a weekly 3 week look ahead programme.
  • Monitor health & safety documentation and complete safety inspections.
  • Ensure all contractors are implementing method statements and operating safely.
  • Direct the contractors to ensure they are coordinated and working to the delivery programme and detail.
  • Monitor the progress of construction works and amend the methodology in light of unforeseen circumstances to ensure that overall completion dates are met.
  • Develop and implement a clear plan of action to achieve the above.
  • Constantly review the build quality achieved with the team ensuring that the client's requirements in this regard are fully met.
  • Proactively manage and execute the fit out programme with defined QA handover process managed through an electronic system on iPads.
  • To take lead responsibility for the ITP and QA process and ensure that all contractors are aware of their obligations and that they are adequately complying with the Lend Lease systems and procedures.
  • Understand, respect and meet the needs of Lend Leases' diverse workforce and clients.
