We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join the Life and Pensions Finance Department in Head Office.

The jobholder will assist with all aspects of Actuarial and Finance work completed in the L&P Finance team.

About the role

• You will own, maintain and improve reporting of weekly L&P income estimate.
• Assist in the completion of regular reporting processes, with Business Partners, in reviewing current L&P monthly performance against prior year, forecast, budget and monthly trends.
• Maintain pricing illustration tools, making parameter changes where required and minor developments.
• Manage monthly product data extracts for servicing areas.
• Assist with the resolution of emerging TCF issues through data analysis.
• Complete quarterly annuity benchmarking, and implement new rates as required.
• Support the Actuarial & Finance Business Partners in preparing strategic plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the business, in line with Group Finance timetables.
• Undertake other ad hoc business support requests and project work as required.

About you

• Numerate
• Good problem solving and data analysis skills (experience of manipulating and handling data would be advantageous)
• Good knowledge of Excel, Word and databases. Good Excel modelling skills;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
• Curious/inquisitive nature, with the ability to work on own initiative
• An organised and flexible approach to work.
