Fraud and Financial Crime Prevention (F&FCP) is a vital part of delivering the Group's vision of putting customers at the heart of everything we do, helping Britain prosper, and protecting the Group and customers from financial crime risk.

The Group Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) sits within the F&FCP team. The Group FIU capability was incepted in 2015 with the mission to "continually enhance the Group FIU's proactive, intelligence-led capability for Financial Crime Prevention." Strategic objectives are to "build on existing capability, identify and develop new capabilities to create best in class management of Financial Crime risk," which is "able to respond to current and future threats." The overall purpose of the team and this role is to detect, prevent and disrupt economic criminality and protect customers and the Group.

Key function of the role:

* To contribute to and where necessary lead in the development and delivery of an intelligence analysis capability within a Group Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) in order to enable the bank to proactively identify threats and unknown risks, assess LBG exposure and develop incremental control improvements in the prevention and detection of fraud and financial crime.

* The role holder will serve as a key point of accountability for intelligence analyses.

Specific skills / experience:

* Outstanding analytical (qualitative) and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to rapidly and accurately understand and communicate complex intelligence issues and identify the potential risks inherent within them.

* Resourceful, creative and inquisitive approach to highly complex tasks.

* Ability to undertake comparative assessments of multiple competing hypotheses.

* Strong team player.

* Highly motivated, collaborative and accountable.

* Intermediate knowledge of fraud and financial crime risk and controls, forensic investigative skills as well as experience in the application of all aspects of the intelligence cycle.

* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing, network analysis and presentation.

* (Desirable) Experience/knowledge of banking.

* (Desirable) Qualifications in intelligence analysis, fraud and/or financial crime.
