As the UK's largest Retail, Digital and Commercial bank our Group has a huge responsibility to support the UK economy and help it prosper whilst putting customers at the heart of everything we do.

We're now embarking on a three year, £3bn, transformation programme - putting unprecedented levels of investment into our platforms, people and data capabilities to build the bank of the future.

As Benefits, Cost & Governance Lead you'll be responsible for governing the Transforming Change Investment Portfolio, Business Case and Risk management and be accountable for supporting the Transforming Change teams to drive value from investment through defining metrics and insight generation within a robust and safe environment.

Here's what you'll be doing:

* You'll own, design and deliver the benefits roadmap, defining the metrics and reporting framework for insight generation of progress to a broad set of stakeholders
* Operate within an appropriate governance framework which aligns to the wider Group governance framework
* Work closely with BUCF to continuously evaluate programmes/projects for financial and people risk, as well as regulatory compliance, and take appropriate steps to mitigate
* You'll drive continuous improvement and influence to deliver simplification of the Group's strategic approach to Governance, managing change, including identifying best practice both internally and externally. Working closely with Operating Model and Method Leaders will form a key part of this.
* You'll drive progress against the programme plan; understand, challenge and actively run the cost position; and act to mitigate potential cost or time delays
* Stakeholder management will be vital as you build and maintain key relationships across Group Transformation and other divisions and business teams including Group CIO
* Engage with a diverse group of senior stakeholders to influence strategic direction of key programmes to meet business goals and support business outcomes and benefits realisation. Typically up to and including Senior Exec/Divisional Board level
* You'll build a high performing team and coach colleagues by encouraging continuous learning and development and will contribute to the development and performance of the wider Transformation community, including finding opportunities for colleagues in line with future skill and resourcing requirements and sharing standard methodology approaches

What we'll need from you:

* A deep expertise in financial/investment analysis and reporting to drive delivery of critical programs, benefits and business decision making. With a dynamic, flexible and energetic approach you'll have the ability to prioritise and simplify complex deliverables to demanding timescales whilst remaining calm under pressure in order to effectively lead your team
* You'll be a highly credible leader and recognised subject matter expert within the Finance or Investment Management community with a strong Risk and Compliance mind-set that allows you to assess and analyse relevant threats and missed opportunities.
* You'll be a highly data driven, pragmatic leader that is adept at using data to drive insight and sound decision making
* Excellent judgment and stakeholder management capability, bringing a demonstrated track record of influencing across senior levels. A great communicator, capable of delivering clear messages to a variety of stakeholders/teams providing clear understanding for colleagues
* Awareness of the Regulatory environment, able to identify and anticipate future regulatory requirements and their implications and is comfortable engaging with regulators directly where needed
* You'll have recent experience of driving organisational change (including strategic core programmes), to maximise business outcomes and provide appropriate support mechanism and will be a master in applying the key principles of change management to Platinum and Gold programmes.
* You'll be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering results through teams and are able to give colleagues autonomy to execute business strategy, whilst remaining personally accountable for delivering on promises. You'll be someone who drives a culture that values, recognises and generates high performance.
* Strong business and financial acumen - you'll be someone who can create competitive advantage and generate positive value through strategic business planning and execution. You'll have an in-depth understanding of the Global economy and macro-economic trends and be able to understand the impact on the LBG business model, and incorporate this into short and long term strategy.
* A natural negotiator, able to resolve multiple conflicting views in order to focus on value generation allied with the ability to read the audience and adapt communication style accordingly, communicating between the technical and non-technical

In return, as a multi-brand, multi-channel business, we've the scale and breadth to provide you with a diverse range of personal development and a career that's enriching and full of opportunity. We're committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to building an inclusive environment where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit. We support the principles of agile working and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We're an equal opportunity employer and deeply value diversity within our organisation.
