Lloyds Banking Group is changing. We're responding to rapid transformation of our sector by delivering new ideas & ways of working that will, ultimately, help us become the best bank for customers. As the pace of change accelerates, you can be part of our exciting future where together we'll embrace creative, agile & simple ways of working, making a difference to the ever-changing needs of colleagues, customers & our business.

We're now embarking on a three year, £3bn, transformation programme - putting unprecedented levels of investment into our platforms, people and data capabilities to build the bank of the future.

We're looking for a talented individual to join the leadership of the Group Roadmap & Business Design team within Group Design & Data, working across Group Transformation to embed the Group's strategic priorities into Value Streams, Enterprise Enablers and Major Core Programmes as they start their journey delivering against the third Group Strategic Review (GSR3). The team act as internal consultants, working with product owners, architects and designers to shape initiatives and portfolios at critical points.

Here's what you'll be doing:

* The Bank of the Future & Roadmap Lead will assure the delivery of Bank of the Future by challenging and shaping existing thinking and aligning portfolios across the Group. The role will involve shaping portfolios during their infancy, using strong analytical capability and influencing skills.
* You'll be actively identifying how developing technology could change the way we interact with customers and colleagues and influence future business models and architecture is key. You'll demonstrate a willingness to learn and quickly understand new information and critically evaluate a broad range of issues, moving rapidly from one topic to another.
* You'll define what the Group's Strategy means in practice and develop frameworks to allow Value Streams, Enterprise Enablers and Major Core Programmes to deliver against and balance strategic business and architectural objectives.
* You'll support, empower and stretch your team, setting clear direction in a complex environment, whilst also actively engaging in alignment work. Credibility will be vital, enabling you to communicate with and influence stakeholders up to executive level.
* You'll also need to be comfortable working in an often ambiguous and rapidly changing environment, balancing a diverse set of priorities.
* You'll actively support the mobilisation of key elements of the portfolio, ensuring that initiatives are mobilised with the correct scope and design with clearly defined costs and Objectives & Key Results.
* By building relationships with senior partners to coordinate across Business Design, IT Architecture and Human Centred Design (HCD) you'll work to protect the Value Stream strategy.
* You'll be conducting analysis, working collaboratively with the Group Design & Data team to solve specific design and strategic issues.
* You'll inspire, lead and coach colleagues to allow them to deliver high-quality shaping work and drive a positive team culture and build skills and knowledge in the growing Group Roadmap & Business Design team.

About you…

You'll be someone who can demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills allied with an ability to understand the big picture, as well as customer focus, diplomacy and strong stakeholder management capability.

You'll have experience managing, shaping and sequencing complex portfolios and will be someone who is fascinated by the changing ways in which technology is being used externally, the challenges facing the banking industry and ways to transform the way we work and deliver change.

You'll be excited and energised by the opportunity to use this knowledge to effectively shape the Group's portfolio. You'll think about problems in an innovative way, underpinned by a strategic understanding of change delivery, financial services and technology trends.

You'll ideally have a proven track record as a Senior Manager from a top tier consulting firm or equivalent or have held strategic, business architecture or design roles in large scale transformation programmes.

A strong knowledge of banking products, portfolio management, operations, process design and agile methodologies is also desirable.

We support the principles of agile working and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We're an equal opportunity employer and deeply value diversity within our organisation.

You can also expect excellent benefits, including performance-related bonus, car allowance, private health cover, 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), share schemes and a generous pension contribution, along with the option to choose an additional cash lump sum or pick from a wide range of industry leading discounted lifestyle, financial and protection benefits.
