We are looking for a new Part Time Work Area Manager to join our team at Southampton Mail Centre

About the role

Reporting to the Mail Centre Shift Manager, you will be responsible for Royal Mail operations across the specified work area leading the successful achievement of quality of service, productivity, automation and employee targets.


Key aspects of the role include:

• Leading a dedicated team of full and part time employees
• Conduct regular one to one and team meetings as well as reviewing your area’s performance and plans on a daily basis
• Championing Health and Safety initiatives, increasing efficiency, and identifying areas of improvement
• Supporting the Shift Manager, you will provide a high quality of service to our customers and ensure all operational targets are met.

As Work Area Manager you will have line management responsibility and the role will involve managing your team’s sick absence, attendance, training and development.  You will have responsibility for safety and engagement and will get involved in our programme of Continuous Improvement. 


Days and times of attendance: Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday 16:30 to 21:30  Sundays 06:00 to 18:00
