You'll be joining us in the Transformation Legal Change & Delivery Team. We are functional specialists in respect of legal risk management across Lloyds Banking Group. And this role will provide a real opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering influential insight and proactive advice, to business stakeholders and the wider Legal community.

Bringing your strong appreciation of risk frameworks to the role, you'll be applying your expert legal risk management knowledge and experience to our Group policies and processes as well as providing your insight into the latest market developments.

As a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, you'll be work co-operatively and proactively with the Risk Division, Policy SMEs and Business Unit Policy teams on matters relating to legal risk management. Your remit will also include
drawing out themes and trends from Policy Key Controls testing results, carried out by the business and you'll also take a lead on updating and monitoring the Legal Risk Appetite Metrics.

Accountabilities will also include:

* Responsibility for the maintenance of the Legal Risk Management User Guide Policy & Procedures and other Group guidance relating to legal risk management issued by the Transformation Legal Change & Delivery team.
* Supporting the implementation of medium term operational plans, taking into account the wider business, legal / governance and regulatory context
* Assisting in providing coaching and training to the members of the Legal Community on legal risk management
* Delivering specialist legal risk management input to influence projects, product developments and transactions
* Building and maintaining external and internal networks and relationships to provide appropriate professional advice to achieve objectives, including representation on industry forums
* Reporting and escalating legal or governance issues, recommending solutions were appropriate
* Collaborating with other key legal colleagues and teams within the Transformation Legal Change & Delivery team and the LBG Legal Community.

You'll need to have expert strong technical knowledge of legal risk management, with a good understanding of the Banking and/or Financial Services industry. You'll therefore be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the relevant regulatory frameworks, industry specific systems and key operational processes. You'll need to have the ability to advise and build relationships at a senior business level, demonstrating influence and you'll hold strong commercial acumen.

A current English, Welsh or Scottish legal practising certificate or equivalent qualification is essential along with post-qualification experience in the banking/financial services sector, preferably in an in-house team.
