Based at the Head Office in St Albans, this role will be a key point of contact for our commercial functions including; Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and will support the wider group when required. This role is a great opportunity for someone at a Jnr HR Advisor Level or current HR Advisor hoping to make that next step towards becoming an influential and value adding HR professional and offers the ability to really become an integral part of the people strategy for the Head Office and wider business.

What does your typical day look like?

- Provide advice and support to managers at the Head Office on a range of HR related and People Management subjects

- Building key relationships with the managers of the functions you will support, to identify strengths, opportunities and development needs for them and their team members

- Supporting management with Performance Management and intermediate level Employee Relations cases

- Writing and implementing new policies as advised by the HR Manager

- Support the Head Office Recruitment Process, by ensuring that our Internal Talent has been tracked and considered for necessary roles

- Produce, analyse and share data to identify trends and assist with recommendations on how to address challenges and opportunities

- Key contact and mentor for the HR Administrator, providing support and guidance where required

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

- Previous experience as a HR / People Advisor, preferably working in a fast-paced environment

- Experience in handling intermediate level employee relations cases is preferable

- Experience in building strong relationships with teams and stakeholders

- Experience and confidence in challenging as well as supporting managers

- Experience of applying best practice and a commercial outlook to people issues

- CIPD qualified or willingness to study for CIPD

Final part of the mix.

- Confident communicator, comfortable communicating with employees at all levels, flexing your style as necessary

- Excellent organisation and attention to detail skills

- Numerate with good business acumen
