Overview and Opportunity

Dawn Capital is a Venture Capital firm established in 2007 investing its third Fund of $230 million in early stage tech companies across Europe. The fund specialises in backing SaaS and Fintech businesses and are at the forefront of their sector.

Now occupying a great new working space in Soho Square, Dawn Capital is a growing dynamic business with a well established reputation in the venture market. The role will be mainly working from home and occasional travel to the office.
 
The role of Finance Manager will report directly to the Financial Controller servicing the existing and upcoming portfolio. You will manage all Finance and Operations of the business and support the continued growth of the fund through accurate processing.

As a qualified accountant this is a great opportunity to use your ability to execute, accounting skills and understanding of the Private Equity and VC markets to work in a fast paced and rewarding environment. 

The successful candidate

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with up to 5 years post qualification experience
  • You will be a bright, ambitious, highly motivated and high energy individual who is forward thinking with a strong work ethic
  • There is a clear clarity of process and high standards in place that will be upheld within all aspects of your work
  • You are detail oriented and accuracy driven. 
  • Knowledge of working within a VC/PE industry would be desirable.You will have a track record of fast paced up to the minute reporting, in a complicated billing and finance structure

 

Key Responsibilities

  • The key objective of the Financial Manager is to take responsibility for the execution of all aspects of financial control and reporting in line with the robust financial systems, processes and controls already in place. 
  • Maintaining a strong financial control environment suitable to support the growth strategy of the business.
  • Ensure that the controls, systems, processes and team are well placed to provide accurate, timely data, both internally and externally
  • Produce accurate and high quality consolidated reporting to deadline, including both routine and ad hoc reporting/information requests, and ensure that these anticipate the emerging needs of a rapidly changing business
  • Timely and accurate preparation of results including multi-currency consolidations
  • Maintain financial policies and timetables throughout the group
  • Manage statutory reporting, including audit and compliance
  • All aspects of tax compliance and planning
  • Involvement in group forecasting and budgeting reporting cycles
  • To ensure procedures and controls remain up to date and reflect current working practices including keeping procedures manuals up to date
