Department: Concierge in the Millennium & Copthorne Hotels at Chelsea FC

Reporting to: Head Concierge, Assistant Head Concierge, Supervisor

Job Function: A great opportunity has arisen within the concierge department as a Hall porter; we are currently recruiting for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to assist with the smooth running of our front of house operation here at Chelsea FC across both hotels. This is a full time Hall Porter positon with a London Living Wage salary.

This Hall Porter will play a key role as part of the guest services teams at the Chelsea FC Millennium & Copthorne Hotels in Fulham, London, providing excellent customer services and supporting the hotels hospitality functions where required.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Greets all guests at the Front Door politely and courteously and guides them towards the Reception desk or function rooms.
2. Attending to guest luggage (taking bags to and from guests rooms), also taking them if requested, to the luggage store room.
3. Follows the current Rooming Procedure, including briefing guest on use of lighting, TV, Radio, internet, mini bar and telephone facilities in the room.
4. Ensures that all guest property is safely handled and/or stored in the luggage room.
5. Signing for packages and letters for both guests and banqueting areas and ensuring they are delivered to the correct rooms / areas.
6. Complies with standards of grooming and personal hygiene.
7. Participates in group luggage handling, distribution and collection.
8. Delivers newspapers, parcels and messages promptly and within the standard procedure.
9. Escorts guests attending functions to function area.
10. Engages in moving luggage from one room to another in the case of a room move as per procedure.
11. Attends to guest needs and queries and refers complaints to supervisor.
12. Points out stationery needs to Head Concierge or delegate.
13. Complies with Hotel's Health, Safety and Hygiene policy.
14. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
15. Keeping the lobby and the outside areas clean at all times.

Personal Specification:

1. Valid working visa for the UK (at least valid 18months left)
2. Working Knowledge Concierge department in similar 4 star hotels.
3. Excellent customer service standards
4. Able to work shifts and weekends as requested
5. Be able to communicate verbally in English.
6. To be physically fit

The Employee must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to Chelsea FC Foundation policies and procedures in particular Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and with regard to the Data Protection Act. The Employee must act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are in their care or attending the Company's premises. The Employee must report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the Foundation Safeguarding Lead.
