This new part-time role would suit an experienced fundraiser who is genuinely excited about the opportunity to work with the UK’s leading theatre for young audiences.

You’ll be a key member of the senior management team, based in central London, and you’ll feed into the strategy and operations of one of the UK most exciting producing theatres.

You’ll ensure the success of the Unicorn’s highly skilled and dynamic fundraising team and its ambitious annual target.  You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be entrepreneurial, detail oriented, intellectually agile and well organised.  You will have the leadership skills to motivate and energise your team, and your commitment to the Unicorn’s goals of great theatre for young people, social justice and access for all will enable you to inspire donors and funders.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Head of Development is responsible for the day-to-day management of the team, feeding closely into and realising the fundraising strategy, managing donor relationships, and ensuring that applications, proposals and benefits are delivered effectively and on time by the Development Associate, T&F Manager and Development Officer to secure around 500k each year.

You will have no less than five years’ fundraising experience, and a demonstrable income generating track record, including cultivating significant corporate and individual gifts or sponsorships.  You’ll have experience of inspiring and managing a team to achieve ambitious targets.  We expect all staff to show a clear commitment to diversity in all its forms.
