Amey deliver a full range of highways maintenance services to Kent County Council and we are looking for keen and enthusiastic applicants for the position of Zero Hour Winter Maintenance Drivers.

Role Details

With the Zero Hour contract, you will be required to be on call between these hours of 16:15 and 07:30 Monday to Thursday, and from 16:15 Friday to 07:30 Monday or bank holidays. For which you will receive a weekly standby payment for the weeks when you are on call.

1. Aylesford Depot, St Michaels Close, Aylesford, Kent, ME20 7BU
2. Haysden Depot (Tonbridge), Upper Haysden Lane, Tonbridge, Kent, TN11 8AA
3. Swanley Depot, The Teardrop Centre, London Road, Swanley, Kent, BR8 8TJ

What will this role involve?

• Participate in winter maintenance services; precautionary gritting, the safe clearance of snowfall
• Follow Amey’s Zero Code by ensuring yourself, others and the working environments are safe

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate would:

• Have a Full Driving Licence –LGV Driving Licence (Class C).
• Current Drivers DQC
• CPC card
• Have City and Guilds 6159 Winter Service, or training will be given
• Able to reach the depot of your choice within 60 minutes of receiving the call.
• Be knowledgeable on Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE)
• Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
• Be willing to learn and develop new skills
