A well-established organization are recruiting for Full / Part Time (Day or Waking Night) Support Workers for their outreach and supportive living service in Poole, Dorset. You will be working with clients from all age groups who have special educational needs (SEN), learning disabilities, mental health, Autism, epilepsy and some may display challenging behaviour.
Main Job Role:
- Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet)
- Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to
- Accompany them out & about in the community i.e bank appointments, health visits etc
- Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve
- Some may need help with personal care
Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Must have your own transport to get to various locations (car, van, motorbike etc)
Contract / Terms (pro rota):
- Salary is £7,096 - £18,333 per annum = £8.53 - £9.04 an hour + £45 per sleep-in
- We have upto 16 - 39 hour contracts available
- Monday to Fridays with alternative weekends
- Day shifts can vary between 7am - 11pm and must do some sleep-ins
- Waking nights can vary between 10pm - 8am
