Job Details

The PA / Team Assistant is responsible for a variety of tasks that seek to optimise the amount of time the Practice Leader and other senior members of the FINMAR team can spend on furthering the business. This can include diary management, handling expenses, booking travel, liaising with clients to arrange meetings and the like, as well as assisting with operational support for the wider FINMAR Market Services global team.


FINMAR provides data analytics, carrier advocacy, pipeline management and reporting services to the Carriers, with the ultimate aim of helping them to improve their proposition, competitive edge and visibility. FINMAR is highly aligned with Group objectives as it involves revenue growth, market rationalisation, automated market selection (market match) and improved knowledge to support better client prospecting and service.

The Role

  • Provide a first class PA service to the Practice Leader;
  • Effectively organise meetings and appointments;
  • Communicate effectively and professionally to clients.
  • Manage the Practice Leader’s outlook mailbox, taking the lead in dealing with any non-essential elements;
  • Plan and organise travel arrangements, visa applications, accommodation and itinerary;
  • Expense management and accounting of expenses for whole team;
  • Provide extensive and proactive administrative support to a growing team;
  • Any other duties commensurate with position or level of responsibility;
  • Assist in meetings where required by assuming the role of scribe/action tracker;
  • Actively participate in team projects where possible.

The Requirements

  • A proven track record as a team assistant, with experience engaging at senior management level, within a large corporate environment;
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Effective IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent Communications skills;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure, within tight time frames;
  • Adaptability - pitch in with ad-hoc work where work pressure dictates; 
  • The ability to focus and meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, with high level focus on quality.
