Job Details

Due to a maternity leave in the team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Recruitment Lead to manage a highly engaged recruitment function focusing on the attraction of diverse talent across Europe, Middle East & Africa, providing partnership and leadership to our onsite RPO and in-house Graduate Recruitment team.

Reporting to the Regional Head of HR, you will partner with various stakeholders to evolve our talent attraction and hiring approach. You’ll also have a reporting line to the Global Head of Talent and Acquisition. This is an incredibly varied and rewarding role where you will build on existing relationships internally with Senior Business Leaders and HR but also drive external relationships with recruitment vendors and sourcing channels. You will be instrumental in our ability to continue to attract the best talent.

The Recruitment Lead is responsible for the operational aspects of running the function, for example responding to candidate and hiring manager feedback, managing service levels and dealing with issues relating to complex hires and executive searches. Your key vendor relationship will be with our Global RPO provider.  You’ll also be responsible for a number of projects in 2019, including the rollout of a new applicant tracking system, renewal of our preferred supplier list, execution of a new recruitment marketing strategy, expansion across several European office locations and a review of our resourcing model. You will also be involved in formulating Macquarie’s response to IR35 legislation in 2020.

Stakeholder management and relationship building are key to this role, as is the management of multiple priorities so you’ll need to have strong organisational and time management skills.  Proven experience leading large teams in a fast-paced environment would also help you succeed as well as the ability to manage projects across other areas of talent management and leadership development.

The Corporate Operations Group (COG) brings together specialist support services including workplace, human resources, market operations and technology. COG's purpose is to drive operational excellence through business-aligned services with a focus on quality, cost and risk. COG comprises the following divisions: Business Improvement and Strategy, Business Services, Human Resources, Market Operations, and Technology.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
