* Many shifts in: Reading, Newbury, Maidenhead
Ambience Care Limited is looking for experienced Registered Nurses/Staff Nurses (RGN) to join our client`s residential & nursing home settings in the Berkshire area on a temporary contract. Our client supports mainly vulnerable adults with many types of difficulties; including dementia, learning disability, physical disability, mental health, stroke, complex needs, challenging behaviour and many more.
Main duties of the Registered General Nurse (RGN)
* Assessment of nursing needs, develop, implement and evaluate nursing care to meet the service users` needs
* Carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision
* Advise on the promotion of health and prevention of illness
* Adhere at all times to Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct
* Ensure that nursing procedures are carried out in accordance with company protocol and guidelines and these procedures are evidence based
* Maintain accurate records as per NMC Guidelines for records and record keeping
* Maintain absolute confidentiality in respect of patient records, medical nursing and health professionals
* Store, administer and order drugs according to NMC Guidelines and company Policy for the Administration of Medicines
* Work as cooperative member of the multidisciplinary team
* Help enhance junior staff/ students with clinical and managerial skills by teaching, assessing and supervision
* To maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients and families at all times
* Share responsibility for the day to day running of caseloads with other registered staff
* Recognise own ability and limitations and identify these to your Line Manager
* Actively listen and seek patient, public opinions on all aspects of nursing care
* Promote good relationships with patient, relatives, public, other care organisations and all members of the multidisciplinary care team
* Promote good communication skills written and verbally
* Any other duties required by colleagues and/or your Line manager
Main requirements of the Registered General Nurse (RGN)
* NMC registration (General nurse)
* In date Nursing PIN (UK)
* Min. 1 year of previous experience in a Nursing home or in Hospital settings
* Enhanced DBS
* Relevant Nursing qualification
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Knowledge of current legislations related to Nursing & Health care
