We currently own and manage over 6000 properties, support over 1600 vulnerable customers in care and supported housing projects and employ nearly 500 people.

We are seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer to head up our PR, digital and marketing related activities and internal communications for SYHA and its associated brands.

The successful candidate would need to:

Have at least 3-5 years’ experience of working in a fast-paced PR/digital/marketing environment.

You will play a key role in a small and friendly team in a directorate that values exceptional quality and talent and will be responsible for delivering a high quality and seamless communications service across the business. You can lead on vision and strategy for our brands and on tone of voice, combining creativity and great ideas with excellent writing and editing skills. You are passionate about developing others and generous in sharing your skills and experience.

The range of work includes:

* Marketing and branding - You will ideally have experience of writing marketing plans and campaigns and have a good working knowledge of brand management. You may have journalism experience and will enjoy finding and writing the stories that we need to provide great content for the Marketing Plan.

* PR - You will be the first point of contact for our media enquiries so developing a proactive PR strategy, writing press releases and above all, building ongoing relationships with the media will be an enjoyable challenge to you.

* Digital - You will have industry experience of working across digital platforms and creating and developing innovative digital campaigns and content. You will be responsible for the organisation’s main social media accounts and will also oversee the content management of our website and intranet that engages with customers, staff and the media.

* Data and impact - You’ll be experienced in setting KPIs for digital, marketing and PR and used to collecting this data and presenting back regular reports.

* Project and client management - You’ll enjoy getting out there and winning over and building relationships with all our internal clients who commission work from the team. You’ll be experienced in managing your own workload, whilst keeping the production manager informed of progress.

* Profile and attitude - You will be a highly organised, conscientious individual who loves to be busy and has an upbeat and positive attitude and isn’t fazed by juggling several projects at once. A “safe pair of hands”, you will enjoy being at the centre of our Marketing and Communication activities and be happiest when you get the job done. You’ll be passionate and proud about the social value you bring and making an impact in the broader community will be important to you.

You will report to the Marketing and Communications Production Manager.

Working Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week – Monday to Friday
