An excellent opportunity has become available for a passionate part time family support worker to work for a family assessment unit based in the Taunton area of Somerset.
The role is a waking night position, supporting the families in the centre when need be during the evening and night into the morning.

As a Family Support Worker you will be required to implement care plans for the families in order to promote positive parenting.
You will be required to offer advice and guidance to parents on positive parenting and life issues and to provide a high quality and dependable standard of service, which exceeds the National Minimum Standards.
In addition you must have a flexible approach to the demands of the centre and offer your availability for work a month in advance in order to be allocated to shifts.
You are required to do 7 shifts every 4 weeks which are 13 hours long.
To apply for this Family Support Worker role, you must have experience of working with children & young people or children and families and have a sound knowledge of safeguarding. It would be preferable for you to have QCF level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential / Workforce or that you are working towards it.
