Our client is Looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Care Assistant, to support adults with a learning disability within their registered care home.

They are one of the largest locally-based housing groups in the East Midlands. They manage over 9,500 homes and house more than 20,000 tenants across the East Midlands in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland.

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £16,104 -16,543 pa (pro-rata) + enhancements

Hours: Full time & Part time hours available

About the role of Carer / Care Assistant:

The role of Care Assistant is varied and rewarding; no two days will be the same. You will support people with all aspects of their lives including daily activities and domestic duties. There is also a requirement for manual handling and personal care, as well as offering service users emotional support.

The project is staffed 24 hours a day so the successful candidate will be required to work a range of shifts over a 24-hour period including weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins; a 33% bonus is paid for waking nights and double time paid for Christmas and New Year shifts. In addition, an allowance of GBP 35.62 is also paid for sleep-ins.

About you:

As a Care Assistant, previous experience is preferred but it is not essential as full training will be given.

All you need is a willingness to learn and a desire to support people to live happy, fulfilled and independent lives.
