An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Co-ordinator to join our team based in Nottingham. You will work on a full time basis (maternity cover). In return you will receive a highly competitive salary of £23,000 per annum. The University of Nottingham Students’ Union exists to enable every student at the University of Nottingham to fulfil their potential and to have the most incredible experience at University. Formally, we’re a registered charity that acts as the recognised representative body of all students at the University.  The Students' Union employs over two hundred staff; around half of our staff are students who balance work with their studies and social lives.  Other staff work full-time, some are part-time and some are required only during term-time and thus work for just part of the year. As our Commercial Co-ordinator your purpose will be: - To Scope, Generate and Deliver an annual income of circa £70k for the trading function from local and national organisations across a range of bespoke advertising and sponsorship avenues, both through digital & non digital channels, within the context of the Students’ Union values and priorities. - To Generate and deliver an additional income level of £50k for the commercial element of our Welcome fair/ programme, with the aim to achieve a sustained level of financial sustainability.  - To Collaborate and deliver for an existing commercial portfolio to the value around £50k per annum to ensure obligations and engagement are achieved for both partners and our members and mitigate reputation risks with the aim to improve on the department offer/service.  Responsibilities as our Commercial Co-ordinator will include: - Plan and manage the day to day digital & non digital activities of commercial partners - Generate and Secure income from local and national organisation - Advise and influence a range of new/existing local and national organisations - Monitor and manage both the return on investment and expectation (ROI & ROE) of commercial partners and their activities - Responsible for the creation, maintenance and development of key stakeholder relationships internally and externally - Maintain departmental CRM platform to achieve a professional level of business to business (B2B) account management. - Support the Commercial Manager with the monitoring of both UoNSU Services & Union wide partnership and sponsorship agreements, and assist with the recording and compliance of the Union’s agreed obligations to maintain client relationships. As our Commercial Co-ordinator you will need: - Good standard of basic education (A levels, NVQ Level two or equivalent e.g. CSEs, O Levels, GCSEs) or equivalent experience - Experience of working in a Sales environment - Proven ability to apply Sales Models/Techniques - Experience of using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Platform - Proven track record and previous experience within telesales or a similar role - Previous experience of writing sponsorship proposals - Experience of creating/ maintaining administrative records - Experience of liaising with staff and stakeholders at all levels - Experience of supporting and coaching others - Experience of networking and relationship building - Demonstrable ability to communicate and develop others, and increase their knowledge and expertise - Demonstrable Account Management Skills - Knowledge of Contractual Obligations and the undertaking and/or associated risks around these - Able to generate a new client base and to foster and maintain the existing client base - Demonstrable initiative and independent decision-making responsibility - Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately Our People Offer When you come to work @UoNSU as our Commercial Co-ordinator you’ll need to bring your skills, experience, talent, commitment and a desire to do a great job and we want you to be the very best you can be.  In return we want to be an employer where every member of the staff team feels valued, trusted, inspired, and able to grow and to have fun.
