The Role- Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in a specialist SEN centre within this popular College in Barnet. The Learning Support Assistant role is part-time (26 hours a week) over 4 days. For this Learning Support Assistant role, you will be supporting a group of learners during the day who have various needs including MLD and ASD. For this Learning Support Assistant role, you must ideally have a least 1 year’s experience supporting learners with ASD and MLD. To be a successful Learning Support Assistant, you must understand the needs of the pupils you are supporting and have a positive mind-set to the role. To be a successful Learning Support Assistant, you must be able to build a rapport with the pupils you are supporting and passionate towards making a difference.

This specialist SEN unit is located within a busy and popular College located nearby to an underground station. It also has several bus links connecting with North London located nearby. The SEN unit supports over 250 pupils aged 18-24 with a wide range of different needs. The SEN unit is highly supportive of its learners to help them achieve their highest potential. The College is well established in the local community and offers a wide-ranging curriculum to support its learners.
