The Role-SEN Teacher

You will be working with learners aged 17 to 24 within a specialist SEN unit within a college with a wide range of SEN needs. For this SEN Teacher role, will be teaching learners with complex SEN needs including ASD, non and pre-verbal learners and those with profound learning difficulties. For this SEN Teacher role, experience of sensory teaching is important to the role. This SEN Teacher role is part-time (16 hours a week over 4 days) and long-term till the end of the academic year. You will be teaching groups of learners so building positive working relationships is important. To be a successful SEN Teacher, you must be enthusiastic, willing to go the extra mile in teaching your learners and understanding of the different SEN needs.

The College-Specialist SEN unit within a College

This specialist SEN unit is located within a busy and popular College located nearby to an underground station. It also has several bus links connecting with North London located nearby. The specialist SEN unit has 250 pupils aged 17 to 24 with a wide range of different SEN needs. The SEN unit is highly supportive of its learners to help them achieve their highest potential. The College is well established in the local community and offers a wide-ranging curriculum to support its learners.
