Position Overview

We have an opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our new Waste Treatment Plant in Milton Keynes, this is a chance to join a high-profile site within Amey that is using cutting edge technology to transform Waste Treatment. This role offers great development and autonomy to progress your career within Facilities Management.

If you have had experience of managing a single site or a cluster of sites previously and understand how to operate the site as a business to contractual and statutory SLA's you will enjoy this position.

As part of your role as Facilities Manager you will carry out audits and spot checks to confirm service delivery by both direct employees and sub-contractors are of the required quality as well as managing the day to day running of the staff on site.

We are looking for an experience Facilities Manager who enjoys being hands on in the operational delivery.



What will this role involve?

  • Carry out first line management duties with staff including recruitment, training and disciplinary processes
  • Responsible for a variety of DIY, building and ground maintenance, internal fixtures, fittings and furniture and maintaining the heating and lighting of the premises
  • Provide information exchange with on-site customers
  • Oversee the day to day operation and strategic management of the Estate/building on behalf of the client
  • Ensure all legislative requirements are adhered to
  • Ensure all corporate polices and procedure are implemented and complied with
  • Ensure PPM's are carried out
  • Ensure all service are delivered in line with contractual commitments
