The Role

Within the role of a Oracle Data Administrator you’ll be responsible for:

* Supporting the team leader in creating and disposing of databases, Database/Listener startup and shutdown, Performing database maintenance (refreshing/creating indexes, adding new tablespace, analysing execution plans) and performing database restoration after a crash

* Assisting the team leader in managing Dimensions processes, listeners, web servers and licenses, Configuring Dimensions server installations, Development of triggers code (C) and investigation of user problems, foreign and domestic.

* In addition the Web Reporting and Replication toolsets are to be supported to - Code, test, deliver upgrades to EF Standards.

You

To succeed within the role of Oracle Data Administrator you’ll have experience in a similar position, and you’ll ideally have the following skills:

EXCELLENT - Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Powerpoint, UNIX.

GOOD - PCMS, Java

The successful candidate will have a degree, HND or equivalent and experience in a relevant Engineering discipline.

The successful candidate must be pro-active and have strong team-working & communications skills.
