Our client, who work within the care sector in the West Midlands area, are currently looking to recruit a number or Care Workers. This is an amazing opportunity to join a well-established company who are still expanding. The role is to support their customers to be able to maintain their independence by helping them to live at home in a safe and secure way.
The successful candidate will also have at least 12 months professional care experience, be able to drive and have access to a vehicle. It is also desirable that the candidate has completed Level 2 Health and Social Care. They will demonstrate genuine care for others, have excellent communication skills and be able to attend all customer calls. They must also be able cope with emergency and difficult situations in a calm and professional manner.
Some of duties within the role will include, but are not restricted to:
* Assist Customers to get up, dressing and preparing them for their day
* Washing, bathing, showering, oral care, grooming
* Toileting, assisting with use of commode, emptying commode
* Using manual handling equipment as specified
* Working with other care professionals such as District Nurses, GP’s, etc
* Assisting with prescribed medication
* Assist customers to go to bed, including undressing and washing
* Preparation of meal and assistance with feeding
* General household duties, including bed making and laundry, shopping and supplies management
* To keep accurate records of care visits
* Submitting Timesheets and log books to office on submission day.
* Attending Staff meeting and supervisions
There are a variety of hours available, including full and part time roles
