Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust(AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Mental Health Nurses to join the team at Whittucks Rd Rehabilitation Unit which is situated in Hanham, Bristol.
We are looking to recruit into 1 part time post (30hrs)
The unit is in close travelling proximity to the vibrant hot spots of historic Bath & Bristol with it's famous harbourside and great travel links.
The team at Whittucks rd strive to use a person centred approach in delivering recovery-focused interventions and care to people living with challenging mental health problems and complex life experiences.
Our aim is to help people to develop new skills, revive old skills, and to find healthy ways of integrating with the wider community.
We work closely with service users and (where possible) their families and friends, offering 24 hour specialist nursing support over a planned time-scale.
We apply the principals of the recovery model in mental health, actively sharing and promoting the use of specialised tools to support individual rehabilitation and recovery.
The team are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and has an ability to work collaboratively with individuals & their families, adopting a creative and problem solving approach to working practice.
As a member of the team you will carry out on going assessments, which will include Actual daily living skills, assessment of risk, goal setting and treatment planning. Promoting and enabling independent functioning, and work with service users to optimise their strengths to reach their Recovery goals.
