We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual income of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 100 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.
We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. The Springwood Unit is looking to recruit a Registered Mental Health Nurse, who enjoys working with older people and is a highly motivated, enthusiastic practitioner, and ready to act as a role model for others. We provide person centred care for patients over the age of 65 whose needs are complex and who need an extended period of specialist nursing care, in a purpose built, high quality environment.
We will support you by offering regular supervision and access to training opportunities to further your professional development and evidence towards your revalidation.
Applications from newly qualified nurses are welcome as well as those from experienced nurses and both full and part time hours are available.
The unit is situated in Malton, midway between York and Scarborough, with excellent road and rail links from both areas.
