The application support operations team run all the operational processes that are at the core of our Bank. They make sure that all colleagues are able to access and use our internal applications so that they can continue turning customers into fans. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for delivering an amazing IT service back to our colleagues, as well as supporting and looking after the team as we continue to grow.

So what would you be doing?...

• Leading the third line application support team focused on supporting the core banking applications
• Overseeing and resolving any escalations for general application support issues across the Bank
• Looking after incidents and request that have been logged through the support team 
• Releasing application changes and enhancements into the live banking systems
• Supporting third parties and vendors 
• Building strategy plans for developing and improving the application support service
• Monitoring the output of team performance and other key metrics

We always support colleagues to develop their skills.  But to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to do most of these wonderful things...

• In order to exceed in this role, you will be experienced in leading an application team and comfortable in providing technical guidance  
• It’s also really important that you are knowledgeable on both Linux / Unix and Windows environments 
• Of course, you will be able to understand and resolve a wide range of technical incidents 
• Naturally, in order to hit the ground running, you need to have a good understanding of enterprise infrastructure architecture
• It would be fabulous if you have some experience of developing and looking after supplier and vendor relationship
