Intermediary Distribution's goal is to develop and manage relationships with the intermediary market, exerting technical expertise and influence to increase the flow of business with us, to help achieve our challenging market share aspirations for Annuities.

As we look to grow our share in both these markets, it is key we open up non- core accounts which Strategic Partnerships can play a substantial part in supporting, giving accessibility to these advisors.

You will lead and develop the B2B relationship for identified Strategic accounts.

You'll own the Strategic Relationship with the key intermediary accounts in your portfolio, across all relevant product channel where present, identify additional business opportunities and drive the jointly agreed business plan ongoing, including appropriate strategies for each account which will meet or exceed business growth targets, as well as retention of funds and/or value within Scottish Widows.

You'll build detailed understanding of the key influencers, business strengths, weaknesses, goals and decision-making behaviour of each selected strategic partner within your remit. This will involve detailed account plans and a contact matrix to ensure senior relationships are set up/maintained.

In addition to the above, you'll share business critical information with relevant colleagues to ensure each team and its members are able to formulate and implement a day to day activity plan, to include appropriate contact strategies and business development initiative for each account which will meet or exceed new business growth and profit targets and allows Scottish Widows to broaden its reach into the Intermediary sector.

What do we need from you..

Extraordinary communication skills across all levels.

Exceptional Relationship Management Skills - establishes rapport, trust and customer confidence presenting a professional image of Scottish Widows to the customer. Operate at board room level both internally & externally.

Evidence of successfully achieving or exceeding sales targets.

High level understanding of the intermediary market place including regulatory, technical and legislative issues.

Evidence of outstanding relationship building skills.

An understanding of Scottish Widows and key competitor's, the current propositions and developments within the Annuities markets.

Fully understands advisor language and is dedicated to ensuring all messages and marketing focus aligns to specifics of accounts

Ability to focus attention on delivering agreed business targets, priorities and objectives

Strong analytical skills demonstrated through the ability to review a range of information and metrics and identify and prioritise appropriate actions.

Strong commercial focus; account strategic pricing, fund flow analysis, looking at return on investment of each account rationally and objectively

Has a thorough understanding of technology being used within the market and how it can be leveraged to support the sales process along with how we best leverage opportunity/influence points (best advice systems, risk rating tools)
