School Art/FoodTechnician
Location: Birmingham
£9 – £13 p/h

Academics are currently looking to recruit an experienced School Art/Food Technician for a successful and thriving secondary school in Birmingham. The role is to start as soon as possible and will be until May half term with the view of it becoming permanent for the right candidate. The role will be full time and the successful candidate will either have experience as a Food or Art Technician within a school.
To be able to be considered for such positions, applicants must either have an enhanced Child’s workforce DBS that is dated within the last 6 months, have a DBS on the update service or be willing to pay £50 for a new one.
The person filling the post will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties including: -Supporting food technology classes. -Preparation of teaching materials -Maintaining stock -Keeping surfaces, cookers, sinks and equipment clean -Checking services (gas, electricity and water) and equipment within the classroom is safe -Reporting any concerns to the appropriate member of staff
The successful candidate must have: -Recent experience of working as a Food/Art Technician -Experience of stock control -Knowledge of safeguarding children requirements -Ability to maintain accurate work records and maintain inventories -Knowledge of safeguarding children requirements -An updated CV and an enhanced DBS
