Would you like to work in an exciting, stimulating and supportive environment creating packages that make a real difference to children with SLCN and their families?

We have an exciting opportunity for a therapist to join our expanding SLT team. With at least 2 years’ post qualification experience in schools, you will be a keen and committed therapist looking for a new challenge. Comfortable delivering training and happy to travel if needed, you will be open to alternative, technology-based solutions for supporting schools.

The Speech and Language Therapist role will include:

+ Working on research and product development
+ Designing and delivering training to our users
+ Writing for ‘The Link’ magazine
+ Supporting our Help Desk to answer therapy related questions

About You:

The ideal candidate will be creative and open to working in new innovative ways to support schools. You will be comfortable with technology and enjoy developing and delivering training. You will have an interest in research and be well informed as to current practices within education and Speech and Language Therapy. You will be able to think ‘outside the box’ and will enjoy working with a range of media and technology professionals alongside teachers, teaching assistants and speech and language therapists.

Speech and Language Therapist Required Essential Skills and Experience

+ RCSLT recognised degree/diploma
+ Registered current membership of RCSLT
+ HCPC Membership
+ Enhanced DBS is required
+ At least 2 years of post-qualification experience working with children in mainstream schools
+ Creativity and the ability to develop innovative ideas
+ Flexibility in thinking to allow for working in different ways to the traditional approaches to service delivery
+ Excellent communication, presentation and IT skills
+ Comfortable with digital and social media platforms
+ Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills and Experience

+ Good organisational skills
+ Good team building and people skills
+ Should be familiar with Powerpoint and Excel packages
+ A basic knowledge of Speech Link and Language Link packages
