What is the purpose of this role?

We are now looking to appoint a Compliance Manager to our Waste Treatment Centre in Milton Keynes. We are looking for someone who can partner with our Account Director and be part of the senior leadership team to provide a proactive, professional and consultative approach to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.



Responsibilities

As Compliance Manager you will support the senior levels of our business to formulate effective compliance and improvement plans for the site aligned to Amey's HSEQ strategy and those of our customer. You will act as a commercially aware, focused & business minded partner for HSEQ, collaborating with the leadership team to help ensure a collective vision that extends beyond HSEQ systems and compliance and focuses on our people and their behaviour to help create a positively reinforced learning culture. You will also support the Head of HSEQ for Waste Treatment to deliver performance improvement across the waste treatment business through the implementation of common programmes and sharing of best practice.



What are we looking for?

We are looking for an ambassador and role model who will utilise their business acumen, engaging communication and influencing style to promote HSEQ and provide expert support across our leadership team. You will have extensive experience working within the Waste sector as well as extensive experience in a similar role. Ideally you will be a 'Chartered' Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) or IEMA however, the essential minimum professional requirements should be GradIOSH/ Practitioner IEMA and working towards being Chartered status.
