An exciting opportunity to join a national charity as a Foundation Phase Development Officer
on their government funded project in Wales.
Our client is a national charity and membership association specifically for nurseries. They work in partnership with nurseries, local authorities, national government and a range of partners, to develop an environment in which early learning and care can flourish.
Position: Foundation Phase Development Officer
Location: Ruthin, Denbighshire
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Contract: Temporary contract, until 31st March 2020
Closing Date: Tuesday 26th March 2019
Interviews: Tuesday 2nd April 2019
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Foundation Phase Development Officer to join our client’s Cymru team. The successful candidate will support the Welsh Government’s commitment to and the expansion of, the availability of a free part-time early year’s education (Foundation Phase) place to all children from the term following their third birthday.
The post holder will work closely with local authorities to deliver good quality provision where required. With the implementation of the Foundation Phase, the post holder will need to continually support the training and quality of the Foundation Phase early year’s workforce and provision.
About You:
The successful Foundation Phase Development Officer will have experience of multi-agency working, within an Education, Early Years or Childcare environment. You will also have an understanding of Welsh Government national and local policy in Wales.
A self-motivated and organised team player, you will have enthusiasm for quality Early Years and childcare opportunities, as well as knowledge of the Foundation Phase Curriculum and current developments in the field of education.
You will be able to drive and have access to a car, with a flexible approach to working hours. A fluency in Welsh is highly desirable.
